Program is organised by the Canadian Consulate Philadelphia, Canadian Consulate General New York City and the Canadian Embassy in Washington D.C.
The U.S. is about to embark on a major overhaul of the healthcare system intended to reduce costs and improve patient care through the use of electronic medical records (EMR) and health information exchanges (HIE). The Health Information Exchange Summit will promote Canada’s leadership role in implementing national electronic health records and examine what lessons the U.S. may be able to derive from the Canadian experience.
In addition to the keynotes panel discussions on important topics of interest to a U.S. audience - Interoperability, Privacy & Security and Sustainability – and Meaningful Use Canadian Style will be held with Canadian and U.S. experts.
An interoperability showcase will demonstrate how Canadian HIT solutions can integrate seamlessly with U.S. requirements.
One-on-one partnering sessions with U.S. organisations and healthcare providers is available on Wednesday November 11th at the Consulate in Philadelphia.
Additional program and technology showcase at the Canadian Embassy in Washington D.C. on Thursday, 12th November. Details TBA.
