The ITS World in Aichi 2009 will be held coincidentally with the 16th Nagoya Motor Show. As a great success of the 2004 ITS World Congress in Nagoya Aichi Prefecture employed the ITS Technologies in 2005 for the ITS Forum and the World Expo and demonstrated Aichi to be a leader in the ITS.

In 2007 the Aichi Prefecture ITS Council and The Mid-Japan Economist hosted the ITS World in Aichi that coincided with the 15th Nagoya Motor Show. It was a unique event with 58 exhibitors (including foreign exhibitions) and display of twenty vehicles and 10 simulators. 250,000 visitors to the 15th Nagoya Motor Show also experienced leading ITS technologies.

This year the organizers, the Aichi Prefecture ITS Council and The Mid-Japan Economist expects 270,000 visitors to the 16th Nagoya Motor Show and look forward continuing to promote the concepts of 'Citizen Participation' and 'Hands-On Experience' in the ITS World.
