If you are interested in attending either GDC 2010 March 9 - 13 or SXSW Interactive March 12 - 16 email Rene Smid rene@digitalalberta.com ASAP for an application form! (note: I just booked my tickets and I'll tell you, accommodations are scarce in Austin and San Fran anywhere close to the conference centre unless you want to pay $300/night and early bird pricing is almost over for conference passes. The cost on flights was good though!)
All applications must be received by January 25, 2010. Successful delegates will be notified the first week of February. (See successful delegates from last year pictured here! That could be you!!!) We have had a lot of interest in both of these programs and the Digital Alberta Selection Committee will have their work cut out for them!
Digital Alberta is working with DFAIT on a series of Webinars in preparation for these conferences. We will also be hosting a pitchfest led by Ken Bautista and Dante Anderson February 23. We may actually host this in Edmonton if there is more interest than in Calgary. You decide! Details to come!
