Press Release: Exploring Canada's Digital Media Content Creation Hubs
May 06, 2010

The Cultural Human Resources Council is pleased to announce the launch of the Compendium of Hubs for Digital Media Content Creation http://www.culturalhrc.ca/minisites/New_Media/e/digital_hubs.asp . The Compendium was created as a follow up to a recommendation in CHRC's Technology Roadmap for Digital Media Content Creation which called for support of "collaborative environments for content creation." The searchable database allows users to search through the Compendium's list of digital media content creation hubs in Canada. Users can search either by category, activity, region or keyword. CHRC will be updating it on an ongoing basis, as we are informed of changes, additions and deletions from the industry. A small Advisory Committee assists with vetting new information. Additionally, a snapshot of the Compendium has been created and is available in PDF form http://www.culturalhrc.ca/research/CHRC_Compendium_Hubs_Digital_Media_Content_Creation.pdf. This project has been made possible thanks to funding by Industry Canada. The Cultural Human Resources Council (CHRC) is committed to strengthening the cultural labour force, and strives to be at the centre of vision and forward thinking in the area of cultural human resources development. CHRC brings together representatives of arts disciplines and cultural industries in the cultural sector to address the training and career development needs of employers and cultural workers including artists, technical staff and managers To become a member of CHRC please visit our website http://www.culturalhrc.ca/membership/why-e.asp .
