Telefilm Canada announces the appointment
of Bruno Légaré as National New Media Sector Head

Montreal, June 16, 2005 - Karen Franklin, Telefilm Canada's Director of
English Operations, and Michel Pradier, Director of French Operations, are pleased
to announce the appointment of Bruno Légaré to the Corporation's
management team as National New Media Sector Head, a position that straddles both
French and English Operations.

Earl Hong Tai, who previously held the two positions of National New Media
Sector Head and Director of the Western Region, will continue in the latter
role.

In order to maintain a national perspective for new media, Bruno Légaré's
role as New Media Sector Head, will extend to contributing to the establishment
of goals and orientations, and working with Regional Directors and their new
media staff as he carries out the sector's operational business plan and coordinates
the decision-making process.

Bruno Légaré has been with Telefilm for five years, most recently
as the New Media Director for French Operations and the Quebec region; he will
continue in this capacity as New Media Sector Head. Mr. Légaré
started at the Corporation as a New Media Senior Investment Analyst in the Montreal
office.

Previously, he honed his new media expertise and built his industry network
through senior producer, communications and sales management positions at CogniScience
Inc. (Micro-Intel), one of Quebec's largest educational multimedia publishers,
and Inso (Micro-Boutique Inc.), a large Quebec supplier of specialized computing
products and services.
