Leif Storm Kaldor November 9 @ 7pm in CL125
After ranging across Canada, Leif Kaldor returned to his home in Regina, Saskatchewan where he is a director, producer and writer. Leif is also one of the most experienced multimedia producers in Canada who has been the creative force behind a range of interactive projects. Leif directed and co-developed “Edible Shorts”, a convergent half hour series on short film and is currently developing a drama with both broadcast and broadband distribution. Leif is the producer of cornergas.com, and is producing the world’s first online comedy contest, CORNER GAS COMIC GENIUS, which takes a web contest to a television special and back to the web.
Shane Arbuthnott November 16 @ 7pm in CL125
Shane Arbuthnott is one of the founding members of Rocket Ace Moving Pictures. He has worked as an actor for several years, appearing as the protagonist, Eric, in Dead End Days. Currently, he is writing for the new Rocket Ace series, Cerealized. His writing has previously appeared in the 2003 compilation of new Canadian Speculative Fiction Open Space, published by Red Deer Press. He is based in Regina, Saskatchewan, where he is working on several different projects, including two screenplays and his second novel for young readers.
David J. Taylor November 23 @ 7pm in CL125
Recording Artist/Record Producer/Engineer and Foley Recordist now based in Regina, Saskatchewan. During his live performances over the last 3 years, audiences all over Canada have witnessed David play and record every track in real time, turning his songs into fully produced auditory illustrations in front of their eyes. With the help of a Saskatchewan Arts Board grant, he realized a recording project to highlight his unorthodox performance methods. Amongst other things, he has kept busy as a freelance record producer and as a Foley recordist for the hit series “Corner Gas”.
