- Paul Hoffert, ‘techno-renaissance-visionary’, Juno award winner and Order of Canada to provide luncheon keynote on Thursday, March 19.
- Idea Corral format changed to include presentations from selected connectors and mavens followed by an 'Ideas Collision' session guided by Dr. Bill & Sue Brooks. This breakout session, supported by MITACS and NSERC, is FREE to post-secondary students. Check out our promotional poster, and register online. If you are not attending other sessions, you must register through this link to attend this session. This session is open to all Summit09 attendees.
- Rich Media Institute provides FREE online courses to SaskInteractive audience.

Summit09 will be held March 19 – 20, 2009 at the Saskatoon Inn in Saskatoon, with a reception on the evening of March 19 at which winners of the Excellence in Interactive Media awards will be announced.
The Summit will focus on how interactive media and converging technologies are revolutionizing the way we live, learn, communicate and transact business.
Concurrent with the Summit, SaskInteractive is hosting the inaugural Games for Health Canada Summit focusing on the role of eGames in health care research, delivery and prevention.
New to the Summit this year are longer sessions, longer breaks and a noon hour gathering of Birds-of-a-Feather that will allow attendees to group together over lunch to discuss a topic of interest. Please submit your topics of interest via e-mail (to summit@saskinteractive.com) or your registration form. Please help us be better prepared by submitting topics before March 16. We will update this site as topics are submitted, so please stay tuned.
This 2-day event will have 4 concurrent tracks each day focusing on:
- Web technologies
- Business/Government/Communications/Marketing
- Education/Arts/Culture
- Games for Health Canada Summit
Within each track, 1¼ hour presentations will profile the application and impact of current trends including web construction, virtual worlds, social media, eGaming, mobile, among others. International interactive media leaders, thinkers and practitioners will share their vision, passion and experience.
Student Showcase
Summit09 is also holding a Student Showcase that provides an opportunity for students and instructors of both post-secondary institutions and high schools to exhibit (demo or poster) their interactive media projects to representatives from universities, business and government.
