The Global Game Jam (GGJ) is an annual event where participants gather at physical and virtual locations around the world to create games!

SaskInteractive and CreativeSask present the SaskInteractive Global Game Jam (GGJ)! GGJ is an annual event where participants (jammers) gather at physical and virtual locations around the world to create games over the course of one weekend.

The event promotes learning, experimentation, and collaboration through the medium of games in a safe and welcoming environment. The theme for the games is announced at the start of the event and jammers have until Sunday afternoon to complete their games. The GGJ is not a competition and is focused on fostering new friendships and increasing confidence in aspiring game developers and creating opportunities within local communities.

Dates: Friday, January 30, 2026 - Sunday, February 1, 2026
Times: Game Jam will start at 6 pm Friday evening, and run to 5 pm Sunday
