SaskInteractive – Program Officer (1-Year Term, with Potential for Extension or Permanent Placement)

Position Summary:
SaskInteractive is seeking a dynamic and motivated Program Officer to drive programming that supports Saskatchewan’s interactive digital media industry. This full-time contract (35 hrs/week) is a 1-year term with the possibility of extension or becoming permanent.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engage with industry stakeholders, businesses, students, and creators to understand and address sector needs.
• Build partnerships with communities, business networks, and government to support industry development.
• Identify funding, trends, and training opportunities to inform and enhance member programming.
• Organize professional development events, networking opportunities, and outreach initiatives.
• Represent SaskInteractive at industry events to stay current on national and international developments.
• Support communications and marketing efforts, including data collection and program reporting.
• Facilitate connections between IDM professionals and other industries to drive business growth.

Desired Outcomes:

• Enhanced business development, funding access, and industry collaboration.
• Support for innovation, commercialization, and the growth of IDM companies.
• Increased visibility and economic impact of Saskatchewan’s IDM sector.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge and experience in interactive digital media (IDM).
• Understanding of business, marketing, and funding models for IDM.
• Strong communication, presentation, and community engagement skills.
• Program development and event coordination experience.
• Comfortable with travel and occasional evening/weekend work.
• Experience in the nonprofit sector and/or with boards is an asset.

Reporting To: Executive Director

Location: Saskatchewan-based, with travel as required

Term: 1 year, with potential for extension or permanent placement
