Game Export & Market Access Funding

SaskInteractive is pleased to announce a new Game Export & Market Access Funding Stream, supported by the Canada Media Fund (CMF).

This program will provide financial support to Saskatchewan game developers to attend key industry markets and showcase their projects to publishers, investors, and platform partners.

Who Is Eligible:

To apply, studios must:

•  Be a Saskatchewan-based game developer or studio
•  Have a game project ready to present to publishers, investors, and the public
•  Have a playable vertical slice or demo
•  Have a marketing plan
•  Be able to attend industry events or markets supported by the program

Projects should be market-ready and seeking publishing, investment, or distribution opportunities.

Available Funds Per Application

Funding will be capped at $2,500 per application. 

Expenses & Requirements:

Eligible Expenses

Funding may be used for expenses related to attending industry markets, including:

•  Industry event badges or passes
•  Travel and accommodation
•  Pitch and promotional materials
•  Booth signage or showcase materials
•  Demo or trailer polishing for publisher presentations
•  Press kit or pitch material preparation

Reporting Requirements

Selected participants will be asked to provide:

•  A short summary of meetings and outcomes
•  Confirmation of attendance at supported events
•  Any relevant documentation related to supported expenses

Applications will be reviewed based on project readiness and market potential.  There are two opportunities to apply: Those that are selected for the grant will be required to apply for the Creative Sask Showcase or Sell Travel Grant
